
Orange County Speedway is one of the raciest tracks in the state of North Carolina built on a reputation of fantastic side-by-side racing.
Opened as a dirt oval in 1967, the track was later paved and re-opened in 1983 and has become a hotbed for Late Model racing in the south and even hosted the NASCAR Busch Series (O'Reilly Auto Parts Series)
Ray Hendrick, Jack Ingram, Sam Ard, Buddy Baker, Darrell Waltrip, Tommy Houston, Mark Martin, Dale Jarrett, Dick Anderson and Robert Pressley are among the many legendary names to have won at OCS. In 1999 Jimmie Johnson won an ASA race at the track.
Legendary Modified winners include Charlie Jarzombek, Mike Stefanik, Reggie Ruggiero, Jimmy Spencer to name a few.

For two of the past three years, the Rumble in Rougemont has been the FloRacing Race of the Week. So why not make it the SMART Playoff opener?
The race winner gets a heavy-weight title-belt and the opportunity to deliver a loud Ric Flair "WOOOOO." But this year, five drivers will be focused on the big-picture in hopes of winning the playoff opener. On top of that, five other "Wild Cards" will be going for broke.
THE PLAYOFF CONTENDERS
Five drivers enter the playoffs for a three-race battle to get the season-ending trophy.
One of the nation's hottest Mod racers, Danny Bohn, leads the standings after ten races. Team 25 has three wins in 2026.
Former Daytona 500 winner Ryan Newman in second in points and is looking for his first Modified crown.
America's favorite villain Jake Crum has two checkered flags and comes into the Playoff opener as one of the hottest drivers on the circuit.
Consistency has been the key for Brandon Ward. He and the Kevin Powell Speed Motorsports team sits fourth in the rankings.
Three-time SMART Champ Burt Myers has the Dirty South locked into the playoffs in fifth in the standings looking for his first SMART win of the season.
WILD CARDS
Carter McMurray, Jack Baldwin, Joey Braun, Luke Baldwin and Joey Coulter are the drivers from 6th to 10th who can move into the Playoffs, but only with a win in the Playoff opener at Orange County!
